Privacy Policy

This website is run by Trademark Butler, operated by EWR Corporate Services Inc. (“we”, “us”). This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. Questions about it can go to trademarks@ewrcorporate.com.

• What you email us. The site has no forms or accounts. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send: your message, any attachments (for example a letter or report from CIPO), and details about your business and trademark.
• Your contact details. Your name, email address and any phone number, business name or address you include in your email or signature.
• Technical information. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this site, and the site does not set its own cookies. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps routine technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure.

• To read your enquiry, reply to you and tell you what is involved.
• To do the work if you engage us, including dealing with CIPO on your behalf.
• To keep records we are required to keep by law or professional rules.
• To send you occasional emails about our services where the law allows it (see “Emails from us” below).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only when we need to: with CIPO or other offices when we act for you, with service providers who help us run the site and our email (they may store data outside Canada, including in the United States), or when the law requires it.

We may email you about our trademark services. Every commercial email we send will say who it is from, include our contact details and tell you how to unsubscribe.

To unsubscribe, reply to any of our emails with the word “unsubscribe”, or email trademarks@ewrcorporate.com. It is free, and we will honour your request within 10 business days. We may still send you messages about work you have engaged us to do.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email trademarks@ewrcorporate.com and we will respond within 30 days. If we have to keep some records (for example because the law or our professional obligations require it), we will tell you what and why.

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it.
